Reviews after Christmas 2019 –
Wonderful evening of Christmas and winter music from the Garden City Singers last night, with two musical interludes from St Chris School (Vivaldi Double ‘Cello Concerto and solo guitar Jingle Bell Rock/Santa Baby).
Musical Director Nat Carter was sparkling and informative as she took us through the varied program and strongly encouraged audience participation (well known Carols, Jingle Bells with bells, and Hey Father Christmas with hand jive moves).
The highlight of the evening was the Falalalala Song (containing William Tell, Beethoven 5th, Blue Danube Valse, and 1812 Overture by my calculations).
There was a very inclusive atmosphere and the raffle alone raised over £400. Mince Pies and interval drinks were much appreciated and the decorated Christmas Trees added to the festive occasion.
